Travel Conveniently : What to bring when traveling

Why some travelers couldn't avoid bringing too much and too many heavy things is beyond me? Always remember- the happiest traveler is the one who can fit their bag/pack under the seat of a bus or take it as hand luggage on a flight. Here's a list of things to bring when going some place for a short period of time.

Personal- Care:
Always buy something in small bottles or tubes. Never ever bring something in sachets. It's more practical this way, whatever is left you may bring it again on your next adventure. Plus less mess.
Shampoo
Soap
Toothpaste
Moisturizer
Cotton Buds
Baby Powder
Wet Wipes
Hand Sanitizer
Sunblock
Lotion
Mouthwash
Razor
Deodorant

First Aid:
Don't take too many. Keep it to a minimal. Pick up only a couple of doses/treatments.
Salonpas
Cotton
Band Aids
Betadine
Biogesic
Imodium

Clothing:
There is no need to take too many clothes as they can be easily washed and dried, normally overnight.
Towel
Comfortable shirts
Shorts
A pair of jeans
Jacket/ Bathing Suit (depends where you are going)
Underwear

Gadgets:
All things electronic these days are rapidly getting smaller yet memory size keeps increasing. So take only with you the littlest gadgets you own.
Take your tablet instead of your laptop
Camera
Cellphone
Ipod
Charger

Misc.:
The following are often the most forgotten items but are considered 'essentials' because of their practical uses and may not be readily available all the time.
Hand wash Detergent- so you can wash your dirty clothes
Ziploc Bags
Note Book and pen
Sunglasses
Slippers
ID's

Take care you guys!

Travel in Style: What Not to Wear When Traveling

It is totally possible to look good while strutting the globe. To help you avoid any fashion faux pas I've put together a list you should always skip when packing for your next trip.

wearing a belt bag when traveling
- I say, one of the most unflattering accessories you can wear. I know, I know most of you would
say- It's practical and functional. Unless your vacation falls during Halloween and you're planning to attend a party as a 1980s jogger, lose it puhhhlease!

Sandals with socks
- Never and I mean never pair sandals with socks. Avoid the geeky-looking duo altogether. It is just wrong in so many levels.

Stiletto heels
- Like, seriously?! Stilettos are incredibly uncomfortable. It's best to leave these shoes at home, especially if you're traveling to a place riddled with cobblestone streets. I'm sure you don't wanna be caught staggering in Calle Crisologo. Such a shame!

Crocs
- I, personally, never like crocs. They're too clunky to be flattering, especially the brightly colored ones. And for some reason they remind me of "tindera ng isda sa palengke". I see them
wearing something like that.

All-white sneakers
- Bright white sneakers will show every speck of dirt. As in every single dirt you might have accumulated from visiting different places. Cleaning it up should be the least of your worries when traveling.

Super short shorts
- Ladies (probably some men) please read: Super short shorts is only appropriate when worn on a beach over a bathing suit. Not when you're in a flea market, riding a plane, taking a public transpo, visiting museums and especially not when you're visiting a church.

Studded accessories
- This is so asking for attention.... from a metal detector. Most airports and some establishments
will give you a hard time if you set off the alarm on the metal detector. A major inconvenience while traveling. To avoid such inconvenience shove it back to your closet.

Convertible pants
- I wouldn't be caught wearing this not in any lifetime. Unless I head to a safari camp in eastern
Africa where it'll be just be me and a guide scouting for animals, leave them at home!

Skimpy swimwear
-Just because you have the body for it, doesn't give you the license to wear a thong bikini for
beach vacations. Leave some things to the imagination, for crying out loud.

Wanderlust

When I read, I tend to pick a good adventure or mystery. When I was young, I wanted to be an archaeologist and discover clues to ancient pasts or to find new, unknown things. This is probably where my idea of backpacking to uncharted places (at least to me) came from. But things got in the way.

Blah blah blah, I got busy working. Blah blah I fell in love. Blah blah blah too broke to travel. Blah, with a little bit of whining and a dash of complaining and let me finish it off with big handful of who cares, it's all just a childhood dream anyway.

Long story short..... I'm so doing it this time- traveling that is. I'm super excited. As a matter of fact I'm trying to hold my excitement. I'm keeping it in my pants.

I'm in my 30's and a call center agent by profession. Otherwise I'm your normal, tired, neurotic, bored employee. No time or money for travel- your total cheap bastard. So this can get a little tricky and interesting. And by interesting I mean, well I don't know what I mean. We'll see.

Confessions of a Backpacker wanna-be

Ultimately, my objective is to be a solo backpacker. I wanna be this cool dude who goes from one place to another carrying only his backpack- no reservation, no itinerary and no stress. Only pure fun and adventure. I haven’t traveled that way. I’d be like freaking out. I like to think I’m sooo ready to step out of my box and see the world in a different light.

Solo backpacking may sound lonely but come to think of it, traveling alone takes away stressing over your travel buddies (specially the maarte ones!), you only go to places you, actually, like, you don’t get to be somebody’s photographer and among other benefits.

One of my favorite travel blogger would have to be Pinay Solo Backpacker (http://www.thepinaysolobackpacker.com/). She’s so cool and all. I wanna be like her. I wanna be the next Pinoy Gay Guy Solo Backpacker. ( gay + backpacker don’t sound right LOL!) I think, I just outed myself. But yeah whatever! I’m gay as a peach and if you have a problem with that people, I have two words for you. GO AWAY!

Lets get it on!

I always wanted to start blogging. A travel blog, specifically.

So I did my research. I wandered the blogosphere in search of the appealing, the ambiguous, and the wicked from the world of travel bloggers.

Holy whore! There are many of us out there. Seeing so many blogs, scares me

Despite the fact that I have absolutely no writing experience whatsoever other than my blog hopping habits, I still wanna go on. Something inside me is pushing me to keep the faith in myself (I have plenty of those!).

There are truckloads of travel blogs out there and most of them are really good if not better, but hey, what’s stopping me from starting mine? I wanna be able to start blogging about travel, life, my opinions so take it for what it’s worth, my two cents, etc.

Let’s get it on!
